LONDON: England striker Emile Heskey struck twice as League Cup holders Liverpool overcame 10-man Blackburn Rovers 4-3 in a see-saw match at Ewood Park on Wednesday to move into the fourth round.
Rovers paid for having defender Lucas Neill sent off against Liverpool for the second time this season and Heskey, who also missed a penalty, netted with headers after 49 and 61 minutes, both from crosses by El Hadji Diouf.
