SYDNEY: France have a secret strategy to win the World Cup, hooker Raphael Ibanez said yesterday.
“We have adopted the 'cops tactics' (la tactique du gendarme), in other words, keep a low profile and you'll catch the burglars,” he told reporters.
Ibanez said that since the start of the World Cup, and even since their 45-14 defeat by England in a warm-up game on Sept 6, France had been “working hard, with great concentration, but above all with as much reserve as possible.
“That's why we are training behind closed doors most of the time and we are planning to continue until the end. The 'cops tactics' brought us good results,” the French 1999 World Cup captain added. – Reuters
