WASHINGTON: Officials of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA) are working to revive the failed US football league even though the US women's team settled for third place in the Women's World Cup.
“We are hoping to put together an abbreviated WUSA that can keep the brand alive in 2004 and use 2004 as a transition year to nail down the economics, and put the sponsorship pieces in place for a full league re-launch in 2005,” league founder John Hendricks told the Washington Post.
