Elias wins 250cc race and inches closer to Poggiali in title race


SEPANG: Spain's Toni Elias won the Malaysian Grand Prix in the 250cc category for the first time with a blistering ride at the Sepang F1 Circuit and it kept alive his hopes of the world title. 

The Repsol Telefonica Movistar rode his Aprilia to take the chequered flag, clocking 43:15.925 in the 20-lap race. MS Aprilia's Manuel Poggiali of San Marino came in second in 43:25.856.
