LONDON: Arsenal defender Sol Campbell was fined £20,000 but not suspended yesterday after he kicked an opponent during the Community Shield match against Manchester United in August.
Campbell was charged with violent behaviour after he retaliated to a high tackle by United's Cameroon midfielder Eric Djemba-Djemba during the match at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on Aug 10. United won 4-3 on penalties after the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
