LONDON: Irish racehorse owners J.P. McManus and John Magnier boosted their share in Manchester United to 23.15% on Tuesday, making them by far the largest shareholders and triggering takeover speculation.
McManus and Magnier purchased shares worth £62 million on Tuesday after British Sky Broadcasting sold its 9.9% stake in the club.
