BELFAST: Northern Ireland have lost three players to injury for Saturday's Euro 2004 qualifier against Greece in Athens.

Norwich pair Philip Mulryne and Paul McVeigh and Cheltenham Town defender Grant McCann have pulled out of the squad.

Mulryne has a hamstring problem while McVeigh and McCann are ruled out by calf and ankle injuries.

Bristol City midfielder Tommy Doherty is also doubtful because of an ankle strain.

Northern Ireland boss Sammy McIlroy has drafted Wrexham's Shaun Holmes and Sunderland's Jeff Whitley into his squad as replacements.

Whitley has been out of favour for Northern Ireland in recent matches but he has started Sunderland's last two games. – AFP
