PETALING JAYA: Defending champions Selangor got off to a winning start in the Coca-Cola Cup national Under-17 football tournament, edging Johor 1-0 in a Group A match at the Raja Muda Stadium here yesterday.
The winner was scored by Hamizan Pasman in the 37th minute. Selangor were reduced to 10 players with the sacking of Hoesne Husain in the 69th minute for a second bookable offence but Johor were unable to profit from their advantage in numbers.
