Suhaimi’s case: Malacca file protest

MALACCA: Hosts Malacca have filed a protest with the tournament technical committee over tournament director Ahmad Shukri's inability to arrive at a decision on the eligibility of former national player Suhaimi Ibrahim (pic) to turn out for Malacca. 

Suhaimi, who has been working at Maybank's Malacca branch for the last three weeks had been registered with the state team but at Friday's team managers’ meeting, the player's home state, Negri Sembilan, had protested. Negri Sembilan also refused to release the player.
