MOTEGI: Former 250cc world champion Daijiro Kato, who died in April following a season-opening crash, will become the first Japanese rider to be inducted into the Moto Grand Prix Hall of Fame, organisers said yesterday.
The announcement of the ceremony – to take place at Twin Ring Motegi today, the eve of the Pacific Grand Prix – came as the world's top riders made an emotional return to the country.
