LONDON: Chelsea chairman Ken Bates (pic) has suggested Arsene Wenger, the French manager of the Blues’ London rivals Arsenal, should be suspended for failing to control his team.
Bates, writing in the Chelsea programme for Wednesday’s home Champions League game against Turkish club Besiktas, said: “Managers who criticise referees should be banned from the touchline and if they can’t control their players they should be suspended themselves.”
