MONTREAL: Nations who do not contribute to the World Anti-Doping Agencys (WADA) funds could find their flags and anthems barred from the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens under proposals put forward on Tuesday.
WADA president Dick Pound, speaking after a two-day meeting, said the International Olympic Committees (IOC) agency still had a tough time getting cash from countries to finance their activities. WADAs annual budget is around US$20 million.
