Girl golf prodigy cannot keep up with the guys

BOISE (Idaho): Michelle Wie, the 13-year-old golf prodigy who became the third woman this year to play in a men's pro event, fared no better than Annika Sorenstam and Suzy Whaley, missing Friday's cut at the Boise Open.

The hard-hitting Hawaiian sought to make the cut in the US PGA Nationwide Tour event, but the developmental tour's male rivals and the Hillcrest Country Club's 6,769-yard layout proved too tough.
