KUALA LUMPUR: Japan are without two of their World Cup players for the Sixth Asia Cup hockey tournament, which begins on Sunday at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
They are defender Ito Mitsuru, who is nursing a back injury, and midfielder Kikkawa Yasuhiro, who is ill. But team manager Toichi Nagai believes they still have a side good enough to qualify for the semi-finals.
