HOKKAIDO: A broken gearbox put a premature end to Karamjit Singh's hopes of attacking for the lead in the Asia Pacific Rally Championship. His four-wheel drive turbo-charged Proton PERT gave up in the very first special stage of the Rally of Hokkaido.
The Petronas EON Racing Team driver and co-driver Allen Oh however, will continue with the remaining Legs 1 and 2 of the rally and will still be eligible to collect leg points.
