HAMBURG: Germany coach Rudi Voeller said in an interview he stood by his live television broadside against critics of the national team but regretted the “coarse choice of words”.
Voeller told Bild newspaper yesterday: “That was too much the footballer’s language. It is the sort of talk you would at most hear from me in the dressing room, but it doesn’t belong in a TV studio.”
