JOHOR BARU: Defending champions Perak fought back into contention in the boys Under-18 event of the national schools (MSSM) basketball championships with a 73-63 Group A win over Johor at the Johor Baru Basketball Hall in Larkin yesterday.
The result meant that Penang, who beat Perak 68-53, are out of the quarter-finals from the three-team group. Johor, who beat Penang 88-65, topped the group while Perak finished as the runners-up on a better goal average.
