PERTH: Norway's Petter Solberg held his nerve over the final stages to pip Frenchman Sebastien Loeb in a thrilling finish to Rally of Australia here yesterday.
Solberg, 28, at the wheel of a Subaru Impreza, beat his 29-year-old rival, in a Citroen Xsara, by 26.6sec, boosting his hopes of clinching the world Rally drivers' crown for the first time.
