'Waltzing Matilda' gets nod but Aussies still not happy

SYDNEY: Australian rugby officials are still unhappy despite getting approval for “Waltzing Matilda” to be sung before Australia's World Cup matches.

Officials asked the International Rugby Board (IRB) for permission to allow a performer to sing the ballad before each of the Wallabies' World Cup matches in October and November even though the IRB normally allows only national anthems.
