SYDNEY: Veteran backrower Owen Finegan and experienced prop Patricio Noriega were both left out of the Australian World Cup squad announced yesterday.
Inside centre Steve Kefu, the younger brother of injured Wallabies vice-captain Toutai, was also omitted as selectors gambled on a youthful 30-man squad for the World Cup, starting Oct 10.
