Tan Fook-Wan Wah stay alive in Indonesian Open


BATAM: Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah kept the Jalur Gemilang flying in the Indonesian Open badminton championships, scoring a straight-game victory to reach the semi-finals at the Batam Stadium here yesterday. 

It was a face-saving performance by Tan Fook-Wan Wah, who demolished China's Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun, the semi-finalists at last month's World Championships, 15-8, 15-4 to qualify for their second straight semi-finals. Last week, they also reached the semi-finals of the Singapore Open.
