PETALING JAYA: Defending Malaysia Cup champions Selangor’s miserable season is about to end. And the team given the chance to put the Red Giants out of their misery is Sabah, who lost to them by a golden goal in last year’s final.
Having gone through 11 matches without a win, it’s highly unlikely that Selangor can salvage their season although they have a rich history in the Malaysia Cup. They are at the bottom of Group C with one point while Sabah lead with seven points, followed by Selangor MPPJ on five points and Penang on three points.
