KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian squash player Nicol David put up a gutsy display in her first appearance in the final of the Mulpha Head Malaysian Women's Open against second seed Cassie Jackman from England at the National Squash centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
However, determination alone was not enough against a former world champion. And Nicol's fairy tale run came to an end with a 5-9, 9-1, 4-9, 7-9 defeat by Jackman in a 47-minute thriller.
