MADRID: Argentine striker Martin Palermo joined Spanish First Division side Real Betis on Thursday, just 24 hours after being released from his contract by Villarreal.
The 29-year-old former international, who has signed a one-year contract with his new club, said he was looking forward to the chance to reignite his career after a disappointing spell at Villarreal.
