LITTLE-known American journeyman Shaun Micheel closed with back-to-back birdies to take the second-round lead at the PGA Championship, two shots clear of Masters champion Mike Weir and Billy Andrade.
The 34-year-old Micheel, more famous for saving two people from a sinking car while he was at a golf tournament in 1994 than for his golf game, added a two-under 68 to his opening 69 to be three-under 137 for the championship.
