PITTSFORD (New York): First-time winners are on the verge of completing a rare major golf sweep at the PGA Championship, the Grand Slam event best known for producing such breakthrough winners.
Practice for the 85th PGA Championship began yesterday at Oak Hill Country Club, where 156 players will try to conquer a 7,134-yard, par-70 layout that has hosted three US Opens, the 1980 PGA and the 1995 Ryder Cup.
