LONDON: The Williams Formula One team on Tuesday officially lodged their appeal against Ralf Schumacher's penalty which was handed out after the driver was blamed for causing the start line pile-up at the German Grand Prix.
Schumacher, McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen as well as Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello were all caught up in the Hockenheim carnage on Sunday and it was the German driver who was held responsible by the race stewards.
