Siti Haniza turn on sparkling display to sweep board in rhythmic gymnastics


KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur's Wan Siti Haniza Wan Izhar was crowned as the country's best rhythmic gymnast after mesmerising performances in the second and final leg of the SportExcel-Milo-NSC Rhythmic Gymnastics junior circuit at the Gymnasium I at the Bukit Jalil Sports Complex here yesterday. 

The 13-year-old Siti Haniza, earmarked as a potential medal winner for the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, swept five gold medals in the one-day competition, which also saw Australian gymnasts in action.
