Penang fail to take advantage of neighbour's favour

BATU KAWAN: Penang had wanted favours from their neighbours. And they got it. But the Panthers did themselves no favours when they slumped to a 3-0 lead at the hands of club side Johor FC, leaving in limbo their hopes of an automatic place in next year Super League.

Penang needed nothing less than a win but it was the club side who were hungrier. They struck with two lightning goals through Rezal Zamberry Yahya in the 27th and 29th minutes before Jon Angelucci ended his nine-match goal drought with a third in the 49th minute.
