MIAMI (Florida): Defender Bobby Convey scored in the 66th minute on Saturday as the United States rallied for a 3-2 triumph over Costa Rica to claim third place in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The goal, Convey’s first for the national team, capped a chaotic match that was the first meeting between the US and former coach Steve Sampson, now at the helm of Costa Rica.
