Siti Shahidah and Asrenny set new records in Pahang Open

KUANTAN: Throwers Siti Shahidah Abdullah and Asrenny Asik emerged as the only two athletes to set meet records in the 37th of Pahang Open Athletics Championships, which ended at the Darulmakmur Stadium here yesterday. 

Siti Shahidah had two records to her name – in the discus and hammer events. Her new mark in the discus was 40.27m, earsing the old mark of 39.28m. She hurled the hammer to a distance of 48.26m to erase the old mark of 40.30m.
