LONDON: England defender Wayne Bridge is ready to talk to cash-rich Chelsea over a £7 million move from FA Cup finalists Southampton his agent said on Wednesday.
Southampton had previously rejected a £5 million bid from the Blues, but Chelsea, now in the hands of Russian oil billionaire Roman Abramovich, have upped their offer for the 11-times capped Bridge, who was part of the squad that reached the 2002 World Cup quarter-finals.
