SYDNEY: The Wallabies have lost their Houdini-winning habit and were running out of time to be ready for their Rugby World Cup title defence, the Australian press said yesterday.
South Africa rose to the occasion on Saturday, beating Australia 26-22 in the opening match of the Tri-Nations championship coming after England's comprehensive 25-14 victory over the Wallabies in Melbourne last month.
