LONDON: Russian oil billionaire Roman Abramovich had looked at buying Premiership champions Manchester United before he opted for Chelsea instead it was revealed by former Football League chairman Keith Harris on Sunday.
Harris, who in his role as an investment banker acted as Chelseas advisor on the £140 million (US$229 million) deal, said that there was little point in buying United as there was not a lot of ways to improve them.
