LONDON: Senegal’s inspirational 2002 World Cup Finals captain Aliou Cisse will not be punished for returning late for pre-season training by Premiership side Birmingham, it was revealed on Tuesday.
Instead Birmingham’s first team coach Mark Bowen insisted the 27-year-old defensive midfielder was integral to their plans for the forthcoming season after impressing in his debut campaign for them before injury wrecked the second-half of it.
