LONDON: Three-time men’s Wimbledon champion John McEnroe said on Saturday he was distinctly unimpressed at Manchester United’s decision to sell David Beckham to Real Madrid.
McEnroe, nicknamed Superbrat for his regular run-ins with authority – particularly at the All England Club – had hoped to see Beckham turn out on United’s upcoming pre-season tour of the United States.
