TAIPING: Mazlan Khamis will go on his favourite track in his bid to score back-to back victories in the Petronas Sprinta AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship at the Kamunting Raya industrial area here today.
The Team Shell Winston Maju Motor Yamaha rider had a magnificent run in the third round in Pasir Gudang recently and his first win of the season took him to top of the experts' standings with 51 points one point more than Shahrun Nizam Tamin of Team Shell KF Yamaha MIG.
It is good to lead the standing. I have made it to the top but staying there will be tough, said Mazlan, who his looking at winning his first-ever national title.
I think it will be a close in Taiping. But the 1.38 km track is one of my favourite circuits. I won here last year and I hope to do it again.
