SEOUL: South Korean star K.J. Choi narrowly beat compatriot Shin Yong-jin on the second hole of a playoff to win the SK Telecom Open yesterday.
Choi, a two-time winner on the US PGA Tour last year, beat Shin after closing with a 4-under 68 to match Shin at 15-under 201 at the 7,079-yard Baekahmvista Country Club course.
