LONDON: Cameroon coach Winfried Schaefer said he had been considering substituting Marc-Vivien Foe minutes before his fatal collapse, but the midfielder had not wanted to come off.
“Both myself and the doctor thought he seemed to have run out of energy and was slowing down,” Schaefer was quoted as saying in Saturday's Guardian newspaper.
