PETALING JAYA: Unruly fans and poor security measures put paid to Malaysia's hopes of returning home on a successful note from the Asean Football Federation's (AFF) Under-18 tournament. They were beaten 0-4 by Myanmar in the final in Yangon on Wednesday.
A disappointed Malaysian coach, Joao Paulo Nizzo, said in a telephone interview from Yangon yesterday that the team were exposed to the hostilities of the crowd at the 50,000-capacity National Y.T. Centre.
