Media and fans grope in the dark as Englishman’s schedule is shrouded in secrecy

TOKYO: One day after hundreds of screaming Japanese female fans welcomed English footballer David Beckham and his wife Victoria, everyone from fans to press were looking for the couple yesterday. 

“We're getting frustrated trying to gather information about Beckham, such as where they are staying and where they are going in Japan. His Japanese sponsors have been tight-lipped,” said a Japanese photographer who asked not to be identified.
