LONDON: Greg Rusedski delighted home fans with a clinical 6-4, 6-4 defeat of ninth seed Jarkko Nieminen to reach the second round of the Nottingham Open yesterday.
The 1997 champion, who only recorded his first win of the season at the Stella Artois Championships last week after a nine-month injury lay-off, saw off his Finnish opponent with a break in each set.
