LONDON: In a move loaded with political symbolism, Britain announced on Thursday that the French managers of top English clubs Arsenal and Liverpool are to receive one of the country’s top awards.
Arsene Wenger, who has guided Arsenal to two league and FA Cup doubles since taking over the London club in 1996, and Gerard Houllier, Liverpool’s boss, are both to be made honorary members of the Order of the British Empire (OBEs).
