Kiwis retain World Sevens crown

LONDON: New Zealand retained their IRB World Sevens crown here on Saturday – despite succumbing to old rivals Fiji in the semi-finals of the season-ending London tournament.

A comfortable 31-7 win over Georgia was enough to put Eric Rush's side into the last four and ensure that they could not be overhauled in the series standings by nearest rivals England.
