CARPERIA (Italy): Reigning world champion Valentino Rossi rode his Honda to victory in the MotoGP race of the Italian Grand Prix yesterday, beating Loris Capirossi and Max Biaggi in an all-Italian duel at the Mugello circuit.
Rossi clinched his third season victory out of five races – the 53rd of his career – to stretch his championship lead to 115 points.
