KUALA LUMPUR: The Elite Challenge began yesterday at the Juara Stadium in Bukit Kiara in bizarre fashion as the top players in the country stepped onto the courts for their first competitive tournament in a long time – without umpires or linesmen.
The Challenge is said to be an official tournament for the players in the national squads. And it seemed strange not to have officials conducting the matches.
