GUA MUSANG: The National Juniors, playing under the Petronas banner, created a major upset by eliminating pre-tournament favourites Negri Sembilan from the 45th Agong's Cup National Basketball Championships at the Gua Musang Chinese Primary School yesterday.
The national Under-19 team, who are preparing for the world junior championships which will be played in Greece from July 10-20, carved out a well-deserved 83-73 victory in Group B to join defending champions Perak, Selangor, Malacca, Johor and Sarawak in the second round.
