Unfulfilled potential for BAR Honda in Monaco


MONACO: Lucky Strike BAR Honda’s Jacques Villeneuve showed potential before retiringfrom the Monaco Grand Prix yesterday on lap 65 after the team decided to withdrawJenson Button from the race followinghis heavy crash in Saturday’s free practice session. 

Glorious sunshine and blue skies prevailed (air 25 degrees, track 33 degrees) as the 78-lap race got underway. Villeneuve got off the grid smoothly but dropped back two places to 13th and was tucked in behindNick Heidfeld of Sauber.
