MANCHESTER: Carlo Ancelotti finally banished his unwanted reputation as a nearly-man on Wednesday night by collecting his first trophy as a coach, ironically at the expense of the club that sacked him for finishing second twice.
The AC Milan coach, a serial trophy winner as a player, jumped up and down with delight in a huddle with his assistants as Andrei Shevchenko delivered the winning penalty kick in the 3-2 shoot-out win over Juventus at Old Trafford after a 0-0 draw.
