AUCKLAND: All Black legend Jonah Lomu still hopes to play in the rugby World Cup, despite starting dialysis yesterday for his worsening kidney condition.
The treatment is necessary for the the chronic kidney condition which has disrupted Lomu’s rugby career and led to his latest withdrawal from the game in April, All Blacks doctor John Mayhew said yesterday in a New Zealand Rugby Union statement.
